ConnectBox are self-contained, self- powered, WiFi based portable media distribution system. It allows users to create a full featured ‘digital library’ from which media (text, video, audio, applications) can be shared on mobile phones, tablets, laptops, desktops in an off-the-grid environment without depending on access to the internet or electricity. Any device with WiFi capability can wirelessly connect to a ConnectBox and access/download content with a simple web browser. ConnectBox will support over 16+ simultaneous 360p video streams/download sessions from different devices. The Connect Box is one of the Creative Access Tools MAF has developed allowing resources like films, Bibles, and other evangelistic and discipleship materials in various languages to be shared with others without detection of its source. This is especially critical in Restricted Access Nations and was first developed at the request of an Iranian pastor. The Connect Box is a wireless access point making its content available for viewing and downloading without being connected to the Internet. The small device fits in a backpack, a pocket, or even an empty soft drink cup and can go virtually undetected. The cost of the Connect Box is so low, should the user fear detection it can simply be thrown away prior to its discovery by anyone (especially hostile government and law officials). For more information https://connect.maf.org/ministry-awareness/introducing-the-connect-box/ For many of you this may be the first time you have heard of a podcast. Hello, God Network News fans to part three of a new series that we're starting for the next few episodes on Unreached Peoples of Africa. We've got some really amazing testimonies of missionaries going forth, against all odds into the least reached people groups of Africa. Africa used to be known as "the dark continent" but actually Africa now is over 60% Christian! There are still many Unreached People Groups there, most of them are Muslims and would live north of the "Sahel" or centre region of Africa. From North Africa, all the way down to Chad, Niger and Mali and other areas where Fulani groups are living. All of these people groups have never had a chance to hear the gospel in a clear way, and we have a friend named Jeremy who has gone with teams to a number of these least reached people groups. In this episode he shares with us some amazing testimonies of what God is doing. Many are still unreached but some are beginning to come to the Lord. Some have lost their lives because of their faith in Jesus, but God is nevertheless getting Glory in this place and we believe what was once called the dark continent will be "the continent of light", a light to the nations as missionaries go forth to the whole world bringing the gospel to the least reached peoples and least reached nations. Join Jeremy as he tells these incredible stories of Gods faithfulness and miracles that the Lord is doing among these people groups. We are starting a series on "New Gospel Gadgets" that have emerged in just the past couple of years. The first devise we will review is the "Pastorbox" made by Cybermission. Ariana a volunteer at Cybermissions describes the use and the functionality of the Pastorbox. The Pastorbox Project involves the manufacturing and distribution of a highly rugged wireless hotspot that can deliver training to pastors and Christian leaders in remote areas. No Internet or electricity is required, it generates its own signal. Once logged on (with smartphones, tablets computers or any device capable of receiving a wireless signal) the end user can download free church-planting, evangelism and bible training resources. Cal Kohnke of Create International speaking at the US Center for World Mission shares several stories of what God is doing in Asia. He explains how they go about producing indigenous gospel films in the heart language of the people groups using actors and important elements of the culture. The results they have seen in the first several years of their efforts in Asia is very encouraging. A number of unreached people have come to Christ even before the films have been fully completed and released to the missionaries work in the area. They are beginning to see initial movements to Christ among some of the most devout Muslim groups in Indonesia and other parts of Asia. Don't miss these exciting testimonies of God's miraculous faithfulness through Create International. Ralph Winter (December 8, 1924 – Wed., May 20, 2009) was an American missiologist and Presbyterian missionary who helped pioneer Theological Education by Extension, raised the debate about the role of the church and mission structures and became well known as the advocate for pioneer outreach among unreached people groups. He was the founder of the U.S. Center for World Mission (USCWM), William Carey International University, and the International Society for Frontier Missiology.[1] His 1974 presentation at the Congress for World Evangelization in Lausanne, Switzerland - an event organized by American evangelist Billy Graham - was a watershed moment for global mission.[2] It was during this presentation that Winter shifted global mission strategy from a focus on political boundaries to a focus on distinct people groups. Winter argued that instead of targeting countries, mission agencies needed to target the thousands of people groups worldwide, over half of which have not been reached with the gospel message. Billy Graham once wrote: “Ralph Winter has not only helped promote evangelism among many mission boards around the world, but by his research, training and publishing he has accelerated world evangelization."[3] In 2005, Winter was named by Time magazine as one of the 25 Most Influential Evangelicals in America.[2] Dr. Ray Tallman, shortly after Winter's death, described him as "perhaps the most influential person in missions of the last 50 years and has influenced missions globally more than anyone I can think of."[4] This is most likely the first page that you will see when you respond to any of my invitations or messages to you about new episodes of our podcast.
